ASK Italian Stratford
ASK Italian Stratford - we would go regularly to Ask Lewes. However Stratford was absolutely terrible. The lady that served us was intimidating, not bothered and it just felt like we were more of a burden than guests at a restaurant. I ordered courgette fries which basically came as over fried batter with old withered bits of mush which might have been aubergine but I can’t be sure. Generally really disappointed!
Disappointed
Disappointed. Childrens menu was not as advertised, drinks not included, mains were tasteless and no salt and pepper to hand. For a garlic bread, 2 starters and a Margarita pizza, 2 childrens dinners and one main pasta meatball tea, 2 small bottled beers and a Lemo, £75 a bit heavy. The childrens apparent desserts were awful, fake chocolate flakes and the chocolate brownie was nothing tasted ever before ? sorry but never again, we were let down a couple years ago but wanted to try again. Lovely waitress service though.

Bad value for money
I paid £7.95 for a small bowl of calamari which was very chewy. Then £13.95 for a small bowl of quinoa with a couple of green beens, & slices of roasted red pepper & about 3 pine nuts, no dressing, totally flavourless. 3 tiny bits of toasted bread with a smattering of goats cheese. I chose it for the low calories, probably because there was hardly any food on the plate. Extremely disappointed. Didn't complain as I was too embarrassed & the waitress was so lovely....the food was pretty awful & definitely not worth the money I paid for it! Won't eat there again & won't recommend it to anyone I know.
Love it
Love it! Best bruschetta on earth ❤️
25th Wedding Anniversary evening!…
Just had our 25th Wedding Anniversary meal with the guys in Stamford. They were short staffed, as explained, as we arrived. The staff were very attentive and very friendly.
Food was lovely considering the chef was on her own! Had such a lovely evening, the staff made it really special for us. Thank you, guys!

Extremely poor service
Ordered a takeaway at Ask Yeovil and selected a pick-up slot for an hour later. On arrival 5 mins before pick-up was told to come back in 10 mins. When I came back 10 mins later was told to come back in another 15 mins. They basically hadn’t even stated my order which ended up being over 30 minutes late. Very poor service and no compensation offered. Won’t be using again or recommending to others.
NOT a good experience!
Visited Manchester on saturday with my daughter, I ordered the carbonara and it was bland and tasteless, I had 2 fork fulls and left it, no one checked in with us to ask if our food was ok, furthermore when our plates were collected, my plate still been full of untouched food, no one even asked if everything was ok, the staff were not very attentive or welcoming at all. It was my first visit and it will def be my last! Very very poor food and service!
Average food
Average food, nothing special at all.
I recently visited the Paddington branch and was not impressed by the quality of food served and even less impressed that an "optional" service charge of 10% had been automatically added to my bill without prior consultation.
I will not be going back!

Ordered a takeaway from Horsham branch…
Ordered a takeaway from Horsham branch and when it arrived the pizza was absolutely tiny and tasted like a day old pizza and stone cold. They could not even cut the pizza into slices for me. Worst pizza ive ever eaten id never eat here every again. Even delivery driver was so rude and basically threw the pizza at me. Stay well away if you love pizza.
Visited Ask yesterday with my daughter
Visited Ask yesterday with my daughter. Arrived at 12pm start of service. No lemonade to start or chocolate brownie. I had pasta with crayfish and prawns. Three watery prawns with no taste. Plenty of crayfish tails unfortunately they were like rubber. The pasta wasn’t cooked and was hard. The sauce was tasty. However for the price of the dish it wasn’t worth the money.

Great food and great service at Ask Italian Castleford
Myself and my wife visited Ask Italian Castleford today the food was great as was the service very attentive staff.
The lady who served us Natalia was very polite, helpful and attentive and her customer service was outstanding.
Really was quite faultless if I had to pick one thing the craft lemonade seemed quite weak and tasted more like water but apart from that the food etc was really good.
Terrible service.
Terrible service.
Ignored at the door by the waitress who forgot to give us our complementary aperitivo. We ordered chips that never came. We asked to see the desert menu but the waitress forgot (same waitress as before) when she did remember she returned 15 minutes later. Very disappointing.
The table of 3 behind us ordered at the same time as us and their food didn’t come until we were ordering our desert? I think the waitress forgot to give their order to the kitchen (same waitress).

An enormous thank you Stratford-upon-Avon Ask Italian
An enormous thank you to the Manager & his team at Ask Italian Stratford upon Avon. We had the most beautiful pollo a la casa dish with garlic bread as a side. A superb atmosphere. The manager couldn’t be more accommodating especially as we had a train to catch!!
Worst takeaway I’ve had in my life
Worst takeaway I’ve had in my life. Pasta needed sauce and salt. Pizza was cold. Chips were soggy and just overall tasteless.
Never ordering from here again
For crying out loud - STILL apalling
For crying out loud - COME ON!!!
Stick with this.
So a number of years ago following numerous visits to AskItalian in Sheffield City Centre, I vowed never to go again as a result of several visits involving cold food, poor service and so on. I’ve kept that vow until tonight and I’m afraid nothing has changed. To be honest, that actually suggests to me that the fault does not lie with the staff in the Sheffield restaurant but with those higher up making all the decisions. I mean, the food must be cook/chill with very little being cooked from fresh - it cant be difficult.
My mum who is 81, and just 17 days out of hospital following a hip replacement, took my sister and I out to the Lyceum theatre in the afternoon. We were to grab a meal and then go to Sheffield City Hall for a classical concert. Mum persuaded me to go to AskItalian. We arrived at 17.00 as booked, the waiter took our order for drinks and shortly afterwards took our food order. Our appetizers came quickly and my starter very quickly as well - it was nice and tasty but its difficult to go wrong with mushrooms and a dip. All this happened by quarter past five. By twenty five past six, we still hadn’t received our main course - one hour and ten minutes after they were ordered. We had seen others come and go in the space of time we were there. The waiter apologised a couple of times but ultimately we had to leave as we were running out of time (of which we had allowed plenty). I left a few minutes before my mum and sister who later told me they had only been charged for the wine they had. ONLY BEEN CHARGED?!?!? They shouldn’t have been charged at all and the fact that they were, makes me more hangry than ever. It ruined all of our evening but worse of all my recovering 81 year old mum didn't get her planned and looked forward to meal. She ate - a sandwich from the supermarket round the corner.
WAY TO GO ASKITALIAN.
WAY TO RUIN A DAY OUT FOR A FAMILY ASKITALIAN.
We will never ever go again.
